$250.00Survey Name: Law Firm Leaders Report
The Law Firm Leaders Survey is conducted annually in September by The American Lawyer's research staff. Heads of Am Law 200 firms are surveyed about their thoughts about and optimism toward the current economy, as well as law firm management issues such as billing rates, alternative billing practices, cost reductions and training and staffing challenges. Some percentages do not add up to 100 due to rounding. Others may exceed 100 percent because firms were allowed to select multiple responses. Not all firms answered all questions.
Also included in 2010 are the results to a similar survey executed in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel and The American Lawyer magazine. Its purpose is to assess the degree to which in-house lawyers and outside law firms are changing their billing practices during this period of serious economic stress. The ACC/TAL study was conducted in October, and surveyed heads of corporate law departments and the Am Law 200 law firms, the 200 top-grossing firms in the United States.
